Little Girls are Sugar and Spice and Everything Nice
Um...Roxy seemed to have been made with a little more spice.
Today she decided to marinade herself. She used her spoon as a hairbrush.

My baby girl Sophia is now almost 7 months old and she blows us away each and every day. She's usually quietly observing but her abilities amaze us. Recently she's been really frustrated with her body. In her mind she should be able to walk or at least crawl and her body is not cooperating. She moves her body around and around but it doesn't get her any further. Soon you'll be walking baby so slow it down. Stay my baby a little longer.

January 4, 2010 -- "Rub-a-dub-a-dub 2 girls and a boy in the tub"

"Rub-a-dub-a-dub 2 girls and a boy in the tub". Now sing it and imagine my father in law, Lawrie, singing it.
Insert Smile here :)

Sophia isn't quite ready for the bathtub seat but we tried it out anyways. She was quietly deciding to cry the whole time but was at the same time facinated by being in the tub with her crazy siblings.
Looking at this photo I realize my babies are all growing up way too fast. Soon they'll be crawling all over each other in the tub and then soon Matthew will be too old to bathe with his sisters. **Sigh** I hope time slows down a little so my babies can stay babies just a little while longer.

I'm going to have to get used to doing this every day. I worked most of the day so I didn't get much of a chance :(
I  do wish I had a photo of what Justin and the kids did today. Justin said the girls were fussin' but that he and Matthew played "Army" out in the yard. He said "Army" consisted of hiding in the girls play house and Matthew barking orders as the Captain. Then Justin would bound out of the house to dart behind trees with Matthew as they shot the bad guys with their "Blasters" (water guns). I bet this would've been very fun to watch.

Bowling. I sucked. Mostly gutter balls for me. Matthew, however, got several strikes and a few spares. Yes, he did use the gutter gards but still, he beat us all! He was very proud of himself. Roxy enjoyed just walking around and Sophia did what babies do best: sleep :)

Today it was cold out but bright and sunny. We haven't had too many of those days around here lately so the whole family decided to take advantage and spend the morning outside. Justin and I walked around pushing Sophia in her stroller as Matthew drove Roxy around in his big wheel Jeep. He sure loves that thing and Roxy thinks she's sooo cool being driven around.

This photo is of Matthew pretending to check for engine trouble under the hood of his car. We found this particularly amusing as I come from a family of car enthusiasts who spend their days underneath the hoods of cars tinkering with engines, especially race car engines. Some things I believe, are in the blood.
